A website and a smart ordering system for an Italian bistro: tell the story, show the menu, and let guests order or book in a few taps.

(Brief)

The menu lived in a PDF and orders came in by phone. Guests could see the food on Instagram, but not order it.

(Solution)

Build the site around the table: candlelit photography, a menu that reads on any screen, and ordering built right into it, from dish to checkout or straight to a reservation.

(01) — Colour

Linen, terracotta, espresso

Primary

  • Terracotta#B0553A18%

The clay of an Italian kitchen floor: every button that books or orders.18% · Reserve, order, add

  • Burnt Orange#C4602E12%

Warm light on the menu: course cards and the menu page ground.12% · Menu cards, highlights

Neutral

  • Cream#F4EBDE40%

Linen tablecloths: menus, cards and long reading.40% · Pages, menus, cards

  • Espresso#2A1C1330%

The dining room after dark: photo overlays and story sections.30% · Dark sections, buttons

Pill length = share of each page

  1. 01Food first

Photos stay warm and full-bleed; colour frames the dish, never competes with it.

  2. 02Terracotta is the call

Reserve a Table and the ordering buttons are the only terracotta on a page.

  3. 03Cream for reading

Menus and long text sit dark on cream; light text only over photos and espresso.

(02) — Smart ordering

Not just a menu: order from it

Capriccio Bistro — La Nostra Carta

01

La Nostra Carta

The menu page is where an order starts. Four courses on one screen, every dish with its price and what goes into it.

  • Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Dolci at a glance
  • Price and ingredients on every dish
  • Full menu or a reservation from the page
  • Google rating always in view

02

Smart ordering

From the menu to a placed order in three screens. Add a dish, set the quantity, review and pay, or book a table instead.

  • One-tap add from the menu
  • Dish page with rating and quantity
  • Order review with subtotal and delivery
  • Reserve a Table on every step
